Jokhang Temple is just located on the Barkhor Street of the Old Town in Lhasa. Opening hour 09:00-16:00. Entrance fee is 70RMB. You can take photos in front of the monastery. On the top floor of the monastery, you can see Potala Palace in distance and take photos. Possible to take photos inside the halls, but need to pay extra charges.
The life-sized statue of Sakyamuni aged 12 is the most sacred statue in the eyes of local Tibetan people. It is unkindly to take a picture of Tibetans who stretch their body forward to pay their respects to the buddha in front of them.
